Lava Beds National Monument

190712 Thursday

Spent the night at Days Inn @Klamath Falls and woke up to an awesome spread of breakfast that was really good for an inn! There were diy waffles, scones w mushroom sauce, muffins, cereal, pastry, and different flavoured coffee. Didnt managed to take photos cos we were in a rush. A picture to commemorate my first time making waffles though, haha:P

Going down Valentine Cave
(Pardon the blur photos, didn't had a tripod with me)

And then we were on our way again, but our tour guide suddenly stopped the bus cos he spotted this really cool view of this mountain. It was a really tall mountain cos we could see it for a fairly decent part of the whole drive.
Check out the clouds
idk why I look so pale here
Typhoon-looking clouds

Highlight of the day
This buffet was even better and cheaper than the first one at only ten dollars! The food was sooo awesome I could feel blissfulness pouring out of my heart hahaha. Like even better than the food found at home:P Plus the service was really good too! That's one good thing about following a 'China tour' (tours operated by China ppl are living in US), they bring you to cheap and good food, often stopping by chinese restaurants as much as possible to cater to the chinese tourists.
The food was really very good! Not saying that cos I missed chinese food but they were genuinely delicious!
You'd always find fortune cookies at Chinese restaurants in the States
Proof of their standard:D
When we were leaving, the lady boss kindly offered our tour guide this humongous cup of ice tea which he refused, accepting a smaller cup instead. Priscilla, not wanting to waste the cup, took it back haha.
Look at this - styrofoam cups come in LARGE size in US

Back to our hostel in SF- Adelaide which we stayed in for the few days we were in SF!
They have really good breakfast for a hostel, the location is good and you can get a private room if you're in a big group!

Anyway, there was a glitch in the booking and they didn't had rooms for us when we came back from the 3 days tour, so we had to move to this hotel nearby which is also owned by the hostel. The problem was, there were 5 of us in a room for 2 people, and it was the last room left. Felt like Joseph and Mary in the Bible...

The hotel had this really traditional lift where you have to open and close the gate
This is us in our crammed to the max room, no space to walk around at all with all our luggage. Don't be deceived by the photo cos Jon's wide angle lens makes everything looks wider:P The frame of the picture ends exactly where the walls are.
麻雀虽小五脏俱全
They even had a microwave and mini fridge in the room haha
Cosy cosy night!
