200712 Friday
An exciting day out exploring the streets of San Fran with my dearest Trina :D
Our goal of the day: TO EAT hahaha
7am
Passing by our favourite Chinatown
Really love the vibe of Chinatown in SF, never knew they had such a large community of Chinese! The area has a very traditional/HongKong feel
And I thought of Joe...
Our first destination of the day - Breakfas at Mama's ♥
The queue before the shop's even open
This is a must-try if you are here in SF! But do come early, best if you can be here before it's open, they open at 8am daily (closed on Mon). We were here at 7.40am and there was already a queue. If you come after it's open you probably have to wait longer for the earlier customers to finish their meal.
Bread basket where our lovely french toasts would come from later on
Florentine Eggs Benedict
Poached eggs on baby spinach & sauteed mushrooms with Hollandaise sauce
French Toast Sampler
Cinnamon swirl, cranberry-orange-walnut & banana nut french toasts topped with fresh fruits
Best french toasts I've ever eaten!
Do try it with their homemade strawberry jam, it'll taste even better!
Bought these back to SG with me, wrapped in towels in a cupboard box
They are different from the strawberry ones but comes with lotsa fruits inside too
At this pastry shop again :)
Leaving Little Italy and heading back to Chinatown
Cheap & good bread sold here :)
From Chinatown, we walked all the way back to the Market Street area. And on the way we went into this hotel to use its bathroom. Check this out, there are cloth towels for you to dry your hands after washing!
Anyway we sidetracked and started shopping at Forever 21 for three hours haha! So we ended up not having enough time to visit more places. Plus we didnt had Jon the GPS around so we were pretty much getting lost. But here are the places we manged to go to!
UN Civic Centre
Japantown :)
Finally here after reading so much about it!
Get the Japanese Special crepe - green tea gelato, red bean paste & matcha sauce!
It tastes better than it looks!
More ice cream haha. Black sesame & Pistachio :D
Dinner at On the bridge :)
The staff there are really nice, even asked us if we want to take photos of the food with the soft toys beside
I like this web site very much so much wonderful information.
